Automatic Creation of Extension Taxonomies

EDGARxbrl™ automatically creates an extension taxonomy as part of the mapping process if needed. All you have to do is provide the details about the new concept being created (such as its name, label, data type, etc.) using easy-to-use dialog fields. It supports the creation of all required and optional components of an extension taxonomy that may be submitted with your XBRL filing.

  • Creates definitions of new reporting concepts that may be unique to your filing and not part of the standard taxonomies.
  • Creates a presentation linkbase letting you customize presentation labels and the manner in which your filing is displayed.
  • Lets you create a calculations linkbase to specify calculation consistency rules governing your extension.
  • Automatically creates the schema .XSD and all required .XML linkbase files.
