    Types of Software Licenses You can select the nature of your software license depending on the needs and size of your organization. Single-User License This is the most common license. A single-user license lets you install the software on one machine. Only one user should use this copy at a time. If multiple users use it simultaneously, they could cause the software to malfunction and corrupt each others' files. If installing on a file server that is accessed by multiple users, you should install a network license. Network Multi-User License A network license lets you install the software on one file server. Up to the authorized number of users may use this installed software concurrently. The total number of users does not matter. It may be installed on networked, non-networked or mobile machines, or any mix of these. This is a flexible and cost-effective option for organizations looking to support about 20 or more seats. |
